I became a Social Worker in 2005 after working with women struggling with addiction. My foremost goal is empowering people to create and live a life with their defined meaning and purpose. I love helping people realize and align their values with their behaviors and make the changes they so desire.
I spent many years working as an inpatient social worker on a psychiatric unit and feel versed in helping people who struggle with a wide variety of issues. In addition, I have worked populations ranging from children in the foster-care system to veterans. I strive to understand the individual and cater treatment toward his/her/their specific needs. I pull from a wide variety of therapeutic methods including: cognitive-behavioral, DBT, EMDR, interpersonal therapy and dabble in equine assisted therapy.
